PogoPlug shares media files worldwide
Nov 21st
Gather round, those of you with networked computers, and gaze upon one of the best ways to attach storage to that network and share files at home or anywhere on the Internet. Behold PogoPlug, a $129 network attached storage (NAS) pacecode that was already well worth its relatively low price, but now it has four USB ports, making it even more useful. If you can get over its hot pink color, you’ll be amazed at what it can do.
Plug up to four external hard drives into this baby, and it automatically synchronizes photos, video, music and other content with any computer connected to it. It’s easy to access it from anywhere on the Internet, and you can even play back videos from it on your iPhone. This little unit already won beaucoups critical acclaim in its simpler iteration, so look for this improved model to begin gathering even more accolades by the end of the year.

Large Hadron Collider Back Online successfully – CERN
Nov 21st
After being stalled by a catastrophic leak, a speck of bread and alleged time travelers, CERN has brought the Large Hadron Collider successfully back online with the full orbit of a proton beam. The 17-mile ring of the facility should continue to see particle beams pulsing through it in both directions over the weekend as it prepares for collisions, though the real Big Bang-style tests probably won’t happen until January, as that’s when the LHC will be at full strength.
Well, if you have your Doomsday Clock ticking down to the end of November, you’ll have to set it back a few weeks for when the LHC is ready to collide some hadrons.

Yamaha released EC-f electric scooter concept
Oct 22nd
The annual Tokyo Motor Show in Japan is once again playing host to a number of cool concept vehicles, one of the most interesting being the new EC-f scooter from Yamaha. The electric-powered vehicle is designed to serve as a commuter bike for city dwellers hoping to make their drive to work a bit greener (ecologically and literally).
Constructed using lightweight aluminum, the scooter runs on a lithium-ion battery and can easily be plugged into a normal electrical socket for recharging. No word on a release date for this concept, but the design alone is enough to generate excitement for its upcoming release.

Solar powered Bluetooth headset from i.Tech with noise-reduction
Oct 22nd
Blue goes green. i.Tech has come out with a solar-powered Bluetooth headset that will run practically infinitely with just a little bit of sunshine. The SolarVoice 908 has five hours of talk time and 140 hours of standby on a full charge, but it’s easy to keep it charged. Just don’t forget your sunscreen.
While Samsung came out with a solar-powered headset a while ago, the SolarVoice 908 adds advanced noise-reduction and the ability to connect simultaneously to two cellphones. It has exchangeable earplugs for a perfect fit, and a wired hook for a secure feel. While not exactly the best-looking Bluetooth headset, it needs a bit of bulk to give enough real estate to the solar panel.
For cloudy days, the 908 can be charged via USB and it comes with a handy cradle that you can stick on the dashboard of your car to capture the sunlight. It’s currently available for about $67. The question is: do you buy this because it’s green, or because it’s just plain convenient?
A new type of Punch Camera takes pictures by punching holes
Oct 3rd
The Punch Camera is just like any other digital camera, but with a twist. You can still load your photos onto a computer via USB, but the Punch also has a series of pins that you can use to literally punch a rasterized image onto a piece of paper. You lose a lot of definition and color, but there’s an undeniable charm to the finished result.
“This is a camera which was inspired by the loss of tangible memories,” writes designer Matty Martin of his concept. “It is meant to connect both physical and digital while minimizing excess materials and the hardships in sharing images? The Punch aligns a set of pins and then uses the force of the user to perforate a regular piece of paper. ”
Power Loader exoskeleton can life 220 pounds
Oct 2nd
Well this is totally cool. Imagine having an exoskeleton outside you that has enough strength to crank up something as powerful and humongous as a 220 pound, umm…, something. It shares the name of the exoskeleton that featured in the movie ‘Aliens’. The dual-arm amplification robot uses 18 electromagnetic motors and also has force feed. It’s totally cool and I so wish to see it in an arm-wrestling match with the HULC.
The Power Loader exoskeleton is still in its development phase. It’s being built in Kyoto, Japan and cannot be expected till 2015.

Clock uses diffuse light as hands
Aug 20th
The Good Afternoon clock by Japan’s Mile Project almost gives the impression that time is but a ghost. Narrow rays of light that sneak through small slits in the bezel act as second, minute and hour hands. A great piece if you are already really zen about time, but perhaps nerve-wracking for those in a constant hurry.
Yutaka Koyama’s mirrors are good for distorting reality when the whole truth proves to be too much, while A/R Studio’s Sweethearts coffee set highlights a gentler, kinder reality altogether. And the Wallop by Proudly is a modular hanger system where each section offers hooks that fold out. The sections fit together like puzzle pieces, so that the user is ultimately the creator of the final form. Hang clothes, bags or even light fixtures.
Another global player Sony Ericsson priming smartbook?
Aug 11th
It seems like we have another global player reaching out for the smartbook market. A reliable Taiwanese source which is directly connected to a lot of smartphone- and upcoming smartbook-manufacturers told us today, that Sony-Ericsson is working on a new device, that will enter the market soon.
We can’t tell right now, if it will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform or any other “non x86? developments, but we can tell one thing for sure: Intel is getting quite some competition pretty soon!
Due to the information we gathered during the last Computex Show in Taipei, ARM, Freescale and Qualcomm will agressively enter this market of mobile and affordable devices by the end of this year. Sony-Ericsson will be (like Acer f.e.) another big brand to join them for this new product class. With their record of building mobile- and smartphones, this could be one of the most interesting and anticipated new devices.
Worlds first ‘Digital Superbike’ MotoCzysz with iPhone dash
Jun 11th
Michael Czysz and the MotoCzysz team for the first time will push out from behind secured doors the Worlds first Digital Superbike. The occasion will be a simple walk to the FIM technical scrutinizers areas so the machine may be inspected and receive the appropriate clearance to participate in the oldest race in the world, the Isle of Man TT.

Apple’s iPhone is in green limelight again and this time it is playing the role of cherry-on-the-icing as it is seen on the MotoCzysz E1pc

However not much is revealed about the E1pc, except for the obvious iPhone on the dashboard. It comes loaded with 10 battery packs and three motors to participate and hopefully win in world’s first zero emissions road race.
