Sprint HTC Hero and Samsung Moment will have Android 2.1 in April?
Sprint?s only Android smartphones, the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment, will be soon upgraded to Android 2.1.
Launched last year with Android 1.5 on board, the two handsets are currently available at Sprint for $99.99 (Samsung Moment) and $149.99 (HTC Hero).
Sprint didn?t mention when exactly the Moment and the Hero will get Android 2.1, but, according to Android Central, the third largest US carrier is ?actively working? to bring the latest Android version to the two handsets ?over the coming weeks.? If all goes well, Sprint?s Samsung Moment and HTC Hero will probably run Android 2.1 before the end of April.
Sprint recently announced that Google readies a version of the Nexus One for its network ? its launch may coincide with the Android 2.1 upgrade for the Hero and Moment.

Just obtained a Mythic for myself and will be receiving 1 for my wife soon! It has just the suitable mix of attributes. just brief of a total smartphone. I’m maintaining an eye for the Captivate for any potential long term telephone…costs are way too high when released. I’ve been in higher tech for 20+ years and fundamentally hack almost everything I own to generate it superior laptops, GPS, auto navigation systems, and so on. and yes cell phones too. From the couple of days I’ve owned the telephone I have currently set up Opera Mini, Bolt 2.1, freecaddie, Google Maps w/GPS functionality, deleted all locked useless apps soon after backing them up and completely modified the menu technique to my exact demands without all useless apps.

Thank you for the great article, I am very excited. I’ve had my telephone for simply over a month now and am truly taking part in all of the unfastened apps from the android marketplace, with the ability to have the web and navigation at my fingertips the entire time. The only lower than thought characteristic is the image/video textual content messages, as they aren’t downloading properly.
